Formed in Portland, Oregon in 2005 by David Sullivan, Maurice Bryan Giles, Aaron Beam, and John Sherman, Red Fang captures the loud and fast, anything-goes spirit of classic rock with their heavy stoner-influenced jams.
In their previous bands, the members of Red Fang created difficult, complicated, challenging music. With Red Fang, they took a different approach, returning to what initially inspired them to form bands - heavy, exciting, sometimes threatening music that at first appears simple and straightforward, but with sophistication that reveals itself upon repeated listening. They do not restrict themselves to any particular genre, instead playing what they enjoy, badass, heavy guitar-focussed rock.
The band have also become known for their hilarious, critically acclaimed viral videos directed by Whitey McConnaughy, showcasing their unique brand of humour, catchy song writing and independent attitude. A band that apparently survives on a diet of beer and live shows, Red Fang have toured extensively the last few years, including an appearance at Milhoes de Festa 2012, and two sold out shows in Lisbon and Porto January 2014. They return to Portugal this September to perform at Reverence Festival Valada.
